STUDENT COUNCIL

Student Council is a group of 4th and 5th grade student leaders who work together to help their school and community. Representatives work to promote safety, respect, responsibility and kindness. They support Island Park’s community outreach, student incentives, kindness & inclusion projects, and so much more. They are involved in school-wide decision making, and consistently give feedback and insights to our school administration. Classroom polls are conducted by the Student Council to ensure students in every grade have an opportunity for their voice to be heard!

GREEN TEAM

Is your child is interested in joining the Green Team at Island Park. This team will be a group of students willing to teach others about ways to help the environment. The team will meet about once a month before school from 8:15 am to 9:00 am to learn about topics such as waste reduction, recycling, and other conservation practices. Students will make posters and do fun projects to help raise awareness of good practices in our school.
