Island Park has an art teacher, Kelly Tran, in K-5 classrooms, due to the support of the Fine Arts Advisory Committee.

CLASSROOM ART DOCENT

Our amazing Art Docent program is made up of parent volunteers, like you! Art Docents visit classrooms each month to give an art history lesson using reproductions of artworks from the PTA's collection of prints and online resources. Lessons range from genres of art to themes and artists. The classrooms discuss the artwork and complete an art project. If you are interested in becoming your child's classroom art docent, click below to volunteer.
