As a service to the Island Park community, the PTA helps to coordinate after school activities throughout the year. The activities listed below take place on the Island Park campus, making participation easy and convenient.* Please see information below regarding student behavior expectations in enrichment programs.

Program Policies
Student Behavior Expectations
  1. All students are expected to meet the same “classroom” behavior standards.
  2. Students will take responsibility for their own learning, respond respectfully to instructors and/or parent chaperones, and behave safely in relation to themselves, others, and school property.
  3. In the case of behavioral issues, parents/guardians will be notified verbally or in writing. We hope such issues can be resolved with parent/guardian collaboration. If not, the parent/guardian may be required to attend class with their student or withdraw their student from the program without a refund.
  4. The following behaviors will result in removal from the program WITHOUT REFUND and may impact future participation in PTA-sponsored activities:
    • Willful disobedience, failure to cooperate, or repeated refusal to follow reasonable, lawful directions from instructors and/or parent chaperones.
    • Vandalism or destruction of school or personal property.
    • Hazing, harassment, fighting, or causing substantial disruption to the class.
    • Actions that endanger students, instructors, or community members.
    • Behavior indicating the student’s presence poses an immediate and continuing danger to themselves, other students, school personnel, or the educational process.

Monday
Piano Class Bach’s Harmony Keys
Grades K–5  ·  Max 8 students
$427.50 Oct 5 – Dec 7 9 sessions

New Bach Music School, a premier provider of classical music education, is excited to offer a Piano Class designed specifically for K–5th graders. Our school partners with local schools to deliver high-quality after-school enrichment programs, led by extraordinary musicians and experienced educators who hold advanced degrees and Ph.D.s.

Through our Piano Class, students will learn essential skills, including hand position, note reading, chord vocabulary, rhythm, and music theory. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to learn and play a variety of fun songs, enhancing their engaging learning experience! Keyboards and headphones are provided, and each student will receive a lesson book. Upon completing the class, students will be awarded a New Bach Music School Certificate to celebrate their musical achievements.

The class is open to all K–5 graders, new and returning students! Returning students will start from where they left off in the previous session. We look forward to making music together!

Tuesday
Curiosity Club STEAM Fun Lab
Grades K–3  ·  Max 16 students

Weekly hands-on exploration of science, technology, engineering, art and math through experiments, building, creating, and discovery. Fun, engaging, and sometimes delightfully messy.

Kids dive into hands-on crafting with paint, cardboard, glue, and lots of imagination while building creativity, fine motor skills, problem-solving, confidence, and connection through art.

Chess Club

$230 Sep 24 – Dec 10 10 sessions

Build math skills, concentration, memory, and self-confidence through chess. Classes are tailored to student skill level, and beginners through experienced players are welcome.

Thursday
Speech & Debate Everlove Academy — Grades K–5
Grades 3–5  ·  Max 15 students
$280 Sep 24 – Dec 10 10 sessions

Students build confident communication through speech structure, storytelling, persuasive speaking, audience engagement, debate, critical thinking, teamwork, leadership communication, and agile reasoning.

Mini Med School
Grades K–5  ·  Max 20 students
$299 Sep 24 – Dec 18 10 sessions

Students explore medicine through hands-on activities, anatomy models, real medical tools, casting and splinting, suture practice, and weekly diagnostic challenges. Includes a Mini Med lab coat and personalized case journal.
