▢  MISD RSVP via Skyward Family Access

Don’t forget to complete all the district forms, permission slips and notifications required for the start of school via Skyward Family Access. Forms should be completed prior to first day of school. Teacher Placement is available via Skyward Family Access. Letter/email will be sent from MISD on when the information is available. IMPORTANT: You will not be able to access who your child’s teacher will be until you have completed the RSVP process.

▢  Complete Back-to-School Parent Pack on Friday, August 25th, at 4:30pm*

• Join the PTA (paid membership grants full access to password-protected online directory);
• Donate to the PTA Fundraising Ask Campaign (donations are tax deductible);
• Donate an Eagle Birthday Book to the Island Park Library (book donation to Island Park Library on behalf of your student);
• Order Yearbook;
• Purchase Eagle Spirit Wear.

*Notification email will be sent when the Parent Pack is available.

▢  School Supplies

The PTA is paying for school supplies for the 2023-2024 school year for all students. Please see parent pack info when it becomes available on Aug 25, 2023 at 4:30pm.

▢  Volunteer - Get Involved!

Volunteering at Island Park is a great way to get involved inside or outside the classroom. We love our volunteers because they make our events fun and successful! Volunteer Sign-Up.

▢  Communications

• Subscribe to Eagle eNews to receive important communications on school activities and PTA events. Not sure if you are on our mailing list? Go to My Account > Settings > Subscriptions to find out. 
• Follow us on Facebook.
• Sync Island Park PTA Calendar to your calendar. 
• Sign up for Flash Alert. During inclement weather delays or cancellations, immediate updates will be sent via email and/or text using the Flash Alert Network. 

• August 14: MISD RSVP Process Open via Skyward for families to complete all the district forms, permission slips and notifications required for the start of school. Forms should be complete prior the first day of school for elementary students.
• August 25: Back-to-School Parent Pack available at 4:30 pm.
• August 29 : Open House/Meet the Teacher 11am - 12pm
• August 30: First day of school for 1^st – 5^th grade students. 
• September 5: First Day of School for all Kindergarteners. (normal day of school for all grades K-5).
• September 6: Popsicles with the Principal
• September 20: K-5 Curriculum Night
• October 5: District New Families Event, Island Middle School Commons.
